What does a charger earn, and when does it pay for itself?

Questions that always come up

Where do the fees come from?
The software is EUR 20 a month per brand, unlimited chargers, 0% per session. The only percentage is card payment: 2% + EUR 0.25 per session, Stripe already included. Charge by RFID or invoice a fleet monthly and that fee disappears — switch the selector and watch it go.
On revenue or on margin?
This is the clause in a site agreement that moves the most money. 20% of gross revenue and 20% of margin after electricity are not the same thing, and the gap widens as power prices rise. Switch it above and compare before you sign.
What about DC fast charging?
The maths holds, the numbers change: investment per socket goes up (a 60 kW DC unit rarely lands under EUR 25,000 installed), kWh per session goes up, and the selling price usually does too. Occupancy still outweighs everything else.
Is this what I will see in the platform?
Same calculation, with one important difference: in the panel nothing is estimated. Every session carries its real energy, price and cost, and the payback module gives you the date the balance actually crossed zero — not a projection.
