Is the Ohme Home Pro OCPP compatible?

The owner cannot configure any OCPP server: the charger ships pre-configured with a 4G SIM to the Ohme cloud, with no web interface and no setting in the app. The "OCPP 1.6J" on some datasheets is integration between the Ohme cloud and business platforms, by agreement.

Can I connect an Ohme to askacharge.com or another platform?

As of 17 September 2026, no. If you need to manage chargers from your own platform, choose a unit with an editable OCPP URL.

What about a fleet with home-charging reimbursement?

Ohme offers fleet integration through its own cloud (agreement with Ohme), not driver-configurable OCPP. To manage the charger with your software you need an open unit.

Can an Ohme charger connect to another platform over OCPP? What there is as of September 2026

Ohme sells on its Octopus integration and on arriving "ready": SIM included, nothing to configure. That same design is what closes it. Here is what you can do with one and what you cannot, plainly.

Where the setting lives (it does not)

Nowhere you can reach. Ohme's installation guide says it as it is: the chargers "use a 4G data connection" and "are pre-configured in the factory to talk directly to the Ohme backend server". There is no web interface, no charger Wi-Fi, and the Ohme app has no OCPP server section. When a sales sheet says "OCPP 1.6J available for direct integration" it means agreements between the Ohme cloud and fleet or energy platforms, closed between companies; the owner is not involved.

What you can do today

If what you want is smart tariff charging (Octopus Intelligent Go, etc.), Ohme does it better than almost anyone through its direct integration: you do not need OCPP for that.
If you are a fleet or an energy provider and want data or control, the route is an agreement with Ohme (Ohme for Business), not a setting on the charger.
If you need to manage it with your platform —tariffs, cards, several units, invoicing— it cannot be done today with an Ohme: there is no field, no alternative firmware, and the SIM belongs to Ohme.
If the charger is for a business and you have not bought it yet, choose one with an editable OCPP URL and ask for it in writing. The brands below are checked one by one.

Where it usually fails

The included 4G SIM is a convenience and a tie: the charger connects through Ohme even if you have Wi-Fi, and if Ohme switches off its server the charger loses its "smart".
"OCPP 1.6J" on the datasheet of a charger with no URL field means cloud-to-cloud integration. The question to ask in writing is whether the owner can change the server URL.
In "UK OCPP chargers" lists it appears next to zappi or Zaptec, which do have the field. They are not the same thing.

If your brand isn't here

The procedure is always the same; what changes is where the setting lives: look in the manufacturer's app, in the charger's web interface (by its IP) or in the installer software for a section called OCPP, Back office, Central System or Server. You need to be able to enter the URL and, nearly always, the identity.
